2024.04.13. 13. apríl je pamätným dňom SR - Dňom nespravodlivo stíhaných. April 13 is a memorial day of the Slovak Republic - the Day of the unjustly prosecuted. A sztálinista csehszlovák kommunista rendszer 1950-ben erőszakos módon számolt le a katolikus rendekkel, szerzetesekkel és apácákkal. Az ,,Akcia K” (K = kolostor) keretében 1950.04.13-14. éjjel a csehszlovák rendőrség lerohanta a férfi kolostorokat, felforgatta azokat és összegyűjtötte a szerzeteseket. 1950 augusztusában ugyanez történt az ,,Akcia R” (R = rehoľníčky, azaz apácák) keretében, amikor a női szerezetesek, apácák kolostorait rohanták le és gyűjtötték össze őket.

2022.11.04. A Dunaszerdahely-Újfalusi temető történelmi értékű műemlék síremlékei ki voltak szolgáltatva egyes emberek véletlenszerű jó szándékának. Ahogy a Csallóközi Múzeumban szervezett Kondé-konferencián Nagy Attila beszámolójából kiderült, a Kondé családi kriptát és keresztet az Újfalusi temető megszüntetésekor valakik módszeresen átköltöztették a Kisudvarnoki temetőbe. A módszerességre utal, hogy az új helyen a Kondé kripta ékességét képező vörös márvány keresztről gondosan lebotották az azt körülölelő beton keretet. A katolikus közösség életét és történetét ismerők szerint a Kondé-hamvak és -kereszt megmentése (a kritpta többi része elpusztult) és átköltöztetése Janovits Ödön esperesnek volt köszönhető.

2023 - 2025. Project: “Four Parallel Angles Behind the Iron Curtain: Making Visegrad History Digital” 

The project aims to augment and reinforce students’ positive attitudes towards democracy and democratic values across Europe through a cross-border approach to history education, specifically through teaching about the experience of totalitarianism and state socialism in Central Europe in an effective and engaging way. By making use of existing but underused teaching methods to connect the past with the present, as well as developing new methods to teach students democratic skills, this project will create and promote the means to strengthen youth support for democracy through history education. The project will result in a set of useful teaching resources, provide training for teachers to become confi dent users of the resources, and create a platform on which teachers can exchange best practices on how best to use sources in history education.

Project Title: Post-Cold War Military Zones in central and Eastern Europe (2017-2021)

Project Description: The post-Cold War military zones in Central and Eastern Europe represent an interesting environment for social sciences. The presence and withdraval of the Soviet Army in large areas of Central and Eastern Europe and also activities of the Allied forces after 1989, have impacted both landscape and human communities in many different ways. Their legacy is a subject to continuous renegotiations, reinterpretations and interventions on individual, local, regional and even transnational levels. The seminars on this topic (first of which took place in Borne Sulinowo in 2016) are an attempt to provide researchers an unique opportunity to compare original data from a number of states and to present analyses of dealing with the post-Cold War past and ‘foreign’ legacies.

Project title: Reformovaná kresťanská cirkev na Slovensku v rokoch socializmu (1948–1989) 2020-2023 - Číslo projektu: 1/0083/20. Projekt je organickým pokračovaním projektu realizovaného výskumným teamom Univerzity J. Selyeho v rokoch 2016–2019 (Vega 1/0528/16, názov projektu: Reformovaná kresťanská cirkev na Slovensku v rokoch 1919–1952), a jeho cieľom je spracovanie dejín reformovanej cirkvi na Slovensku v rokoch socializmu. Podobne ako predchádzajúci projekt (v rámci ktorého sme v siedmich archívoch Slovenska, Česka a Maďarska zdigitalizovali a spracovali približne 58 000 strán archiválií týkajúcich sa reformovanej cirkvi), aj súčasný projekt stavia za svoj základný cieľ odkrytie, zdigitalizovanie a zosystematizovanie základných prameňov k danej téme. Paralelne s tým chceme spracovať a publikovať niektoré čiastkové témy z oblasti organizačnej štruktúry Reformovanej kresťanskej cirkvi na Slovensku, demografiu kalvínov, vzájomný vzťah štátnej moci a cirkvi počas socializmu, vnútorný zápas medzi slovenskými cirkevnými zbormi a vedením reformovanej cirkvi, ako aj životné dráhy niektorých významných činiteľov cirkvi.
